PRINCIPLES AND METHODS OF ASSESSMENT

Abstract

Assessment- it is any activity oriented to collect information on the success of teaching program in order to improve teaching methods, techniques, program or the whole curriculum. Assessment plays a great role in teaching and learning process, and consists of variety of methods and tools that teachers use to evaluate skill acquisition of students. Assessment results always formulate further actions toward improving and enhancing students’ knowledge. Also, assessment procedure is very useful for teachers to: -modify teaching materials -identify students’ needs -pinpoint students’ strengths and weaknesses
