Abstract

This article covers the history of the introduction of fodder plants and crop varieties into the Turkestan region during the Russian Empire and Soviet rule through sources and literature. The selection and experimental work on new varieties of corn, alfalfa and other fodder crops, which entered the country in the early twentieth century, are also studied in detail in this article.
