Abstract
AbstractThe sentence is traditionally defined as the expression of a complete thought. But this seems to be open to thought and discussion because completeness is, in fact, very relative and depends largely on the purpose of the speaker or writer as well as on the context, linguistic or situational. This article is dedicated to the study of the sentence and its main grammatical features: predicativity and intonation.
