Abstract
This article is dedicated to reveal the Problems of Modality in Modern Linguistics. The author identifies the modal issues in English language and draws some more examples on it. This research can include core or semi-modalities, which express the nuances of various modalities, from personal feelings or attitudes, to judgments or assessments based on the speaker’s knowledge of the surrounding world. Moreover, the work realizes the difference between AOM and SOM and reveals that is relevant when considering the combination of speech ability or the speaker's grammatical elements, background social or cultural knowledge, and awareness of the instant dialogue environment.
