Abstract

The following article aims at investigating toponyms in English as a representative of specific linguistic and cultural phenomenon. First the article tries to define English toponyms. Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of deep linguistic analysis over them to find out more linguistic and cultural peculiarities.
