THE ROLE OF AHMAD FERGANI IN THE HISTORY OF THE SCIENCE OF ASTRONOMY

Abstract

The article describes the historical merits of Ahmad Fergani, the great thinker of the Middle Ages, who made an invaluable contribution to the development of the science of astronomy. Analyzed such issues considered in his works as celestial stars, their movement, celestial spheres, zodiacs, climatic features of the planet Earth, etc. It also draws attention to the theoretical and educational value of studying the scientific heritage of this thinker for the present.
