Abstract

Language is an inseparable heritage of the people, an attribute of its culture, spirituality and soul. In\nthe historical process, it is through language that regressive or progressive aspects of the being and development of a people or nation manifest themselves. The preservation of the language means the\npreservation of the nation, national statehood, national spirit and mindset. Otherwise, regressive\ntendencies are reflected not only in the immaterial spiritual and ideological spheres, but also in the\neconomic and social relations covered by permanent destruction. The central issue of this article is\nthe topic of the identity of the Uzbek language and includes a period that occupies a separate place in\nour history, when the language and national statehood were linked by mutual patterns, namely, the\nera associated with the genius of Ali-Shir Nava'i and up to the present in order to answer the question\nof what evolution occurred during this time. This approach contributes to the understanding of the\nideological regularities that have occurred and are continuing in the language policy of the past,\npresent and future of the linguistic identity of the people, the awareness of whose being was formed\nthrough language, which is especially important in conditions when the identity of the Uzbek\nlanguage is experiencing the impact of globalization and various transformations.\n
