Problems of Building Global Corporate Information Systems
Abstract
The globalization of the economy and the formation of the information society have led to the emergence of transnational network corporations and global corporate information systems (GCIS). Based on the analysis of their characteristics, a methodology for constructing GCIS is proposed, based on the principles of mutual correspondence of the structural and functional characteristics of transnational network corporations and GCIS, parallel and phased implementation of the creation and virtual modeling of their architectures. The system, structural and virtual models of GCIS architectures are considered. A functional virtual model of the hierarchical multilayer architecture of GCIS, which consists of six generalized layers: functional, operational, informational, integration, interface and infrastructural, is presented.
