Abstract

From ancient times, our ancestors were determined to bring water to the lands of Mirzachul and create prosperous settlements here. The Tuyatortar canal, dug in the early AD and bringing water to Mirzachol, is proof of this. Another such facility was the medieval Urimbay canal, which irrigated 7,000 hectares. There were also several impoundments in the Mirzachul area, one of which is the 16th-century "Yogochli" ("Wooden") reservoir.\n\n
