Abstract
The article states about the origin of Uzbek names, as well as the historical and cultural impact of different eras on the formation of proper names. The article also analyzes in detail the structural and semantic components of Uzbek names based on the categories to which the name may relate. It is inherent in Uzbek names to have numerous prefixes and endings depending on gender and according to various personal characteristics of the bearer of the name.
