Abstract

The article considers issues of using mythological symbols and their interpretation in the works of Antoine de Saint Exupery and Chingiz Aitmatov. Besides, it gives significant data due to the place and role of mythology in the poetics of fiction also history of the use of mythological plot and elements in Western Literature.
