Abstract

Abstract. This article discusses the increase in creative activity in teaching and learning foreign languages in English lessons. Teachers and students with a high level of education need to gain self-confidence to be more creative and experimental, and we suggest that self-efficacy and locus of control can play an important role in this. When teachers are confident in their creativity, students are also more likely to be more engaged and actively experiment in creativity. In this article, the author examines the concept of creativity to improve the effectiveness of learning and support learning. The author suggests that creativity can offer an invigorating, if challenging, experience for both students and teachers. But we know that many teachers and students believe that creative and experimental activities are not without risks. Creating problems or experimenting in learning and teaching, especially with new learning technologies, are seen as steps into treacherous waters.
