Abstract

. The clinical and epidemiological features of the course of Salmonella infection in children have been studied. In the etiological structure of Salmonella infection in children, along with diarrhea caused by Salmonella typhimurium strains, there is an increase in non-typing Salmonella strains. In the clinical course of this infection, the peculiarity of the combined lesion of the gastrointestinal tract was determined, proceeding with prolonged hyperthermia, signs of severe dehydration, the presence of pain syndrome, hepatomegaly and the development of toxic-dystrophic conditions in children. The predominance of antibiotic-resistant strains of Salmonella, the disease proceeds with an exacerbation of the infectious process, acquiring a protracted character.
