Abstract
<em>This article presents a U-shaped dielectric resonant antenna (DRA) of small size, but with a wide bandwidth. The antenna is made of a material with a very high dielectric constant (</em><em>= 81) and has a new shape that supports many modes. The size of the proposed antenna is smaller than that of other DRAS created for the 2.4 GHz – 3.0 GHz bands, while the achievable bandwidth resistance for S11 < -10 dB is about 22%. Thus, this antenna can be used for IEEE 802.11 b/g for WLAN (2.4-2.5 GHz) and LTE (2.5-2.7 GHz), and can also be modified for other frequency bands.</em>
