Abstract

The NaClO3⋅CO(NH2)2–CS(NH2)2–H2O system has been studied using binary systems and eight internal cuts and a polythermal solubility diagram has been constructed in the temperature range from –34.2 to 48.2°C. The phase diagram of the polythermal solubility of the system has delimitated the crystallization fields of ice, CO(NH2)2, NaClO3⋅CO(NH2)2, and CS(NH2)2. This system belongs to a simple eutonic type, the components have retained their individuality and have shown good solubility in water. In the [60%NaClO3⋅CO(NH2)2 + 40%H2O]–[CS(NH2)2] section, changes in crystallization temperature, viscosity, density, pH, and refraction indices of solutions in various component ratios have been studied and a “composition-properties” diagram has been constructed.
