Abstract

Abstract The paper presents the results of a study of the physicochemical characteristics of a carbon-containing material obtained by pyrolysis of worn tires. The temperature balance in the pyrolysis of car tires in the range of 50-1100 °C was determined by derivatographic analysis. It is proposed to develop composite elastomeric materials based on rubber of grades SKI-3 and SKMS-30, which are filled with carbon-containing material after pyrolysis. A relationship between structural characteristics, the nature of the surface of a carbon-containing material, and rubber macromolecules has been found. The use of the solid phase of pyrolysis as a filler of a carbon-containing material, which can be used in the production of rubber, has been studied.
