Abstract

In the article, on the basis of the Oldroyd rheological model, a transient process is considered during unsteady laminar motion of a viscoelastic fluid in a circular cylindrical pipe. The influence of the relaxation time and delay on the transient process has been studied. A formula is proposed for determining the coefficient of hydraulic resistance in the laminar motion of a viscoelastic fluid for the non-stationary case.
