Abstract
Abstract: Echinococcosis is a common parasitic disease endemic to the countries of Central Asia, including Uzbekistan. The disease is most often found in areas with developed animal husbandry. In Uzbekistan, about 4000 operations related to echinococcosis are performed annually. The disease is registered in all regions of the republic, and the number of patients who underwent conservative treatment is unknown. Conservative treatment of echinococcosis is more acceptable both economically and clinically. However, one of the main problems of timely conservative treatment is the early diagnosis of echinococcosis. This fact dictates the need to develop a highly sensitive, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.
