Abstract
The article analyzes the history of China's sports diplomacy and its participation in the Olympic Games. In the spotlight: the circumstances under which the People's Republic of China was chosen to host the Olympics, the doping suspicions of Olympians from China, and the changes that have taken place since the hosting of the Olympics in the country.
