Abstract
Abstract Experimentally confirmed the need for fractionation of safflower seeds into large (width more than 3 mm) and small (width less than 3 mm) fractions in order to collapse the former on a centrifugal roller with a directional i.e. oriented impact and crushing the latter on disc huskers. Rational technological modes of collapse of a large fraction of safflower seeds have been identified: the angular velocity of the rotor is 198.9-251.3 rad/s, air consumption is 0.45-0.57 kg/s, seed moisture is 6.5-7.5% and seed width is more than 3 mm.
