Abstract

Objectives: To study the features of fetoplcental insufficiency in women with thyroid pathologies. Methods: The material of the study is the data of morphological studies of the placentas of women with thyroid diseases - macroscopic and microscopic. Results: Analysis of the placenta showed that the variant of pathological immaturity of the placenta was observed to a greater extent than in the control group with maternal hypothyroidism. Complications that arise depend on the severity of hypothyroidism, how timely and early treatment is started, various medical specialties and extragenital pathologies associated with this obstetrics. It is generally accepted that hypothyroidism in pregnant women is associated with an increased risk of abortion, stillbirth, preterm birth, intrauterine death, fetal growth retardation and congenital anomalies, congenital hypothyroidism, anemia, postpartum depression and visceral dysfunction leading to excessive maternal morbidity, perinatal pathology and mortality. Conclusions: Thus, the placenta against the background of the pathology of the mother's thyroid gland had signs of damage, characterized by changes, focal sclerosis and fibrinoid necrosis. There were also circulatory disorders in the form of plethora and thrombosis.
