Abstract
Reproductive orientation and the socio-economic and cultural-spiritual state of society are inextricably linked. The article examines the changes in the reproductive orientation of Uzbeks on the basis of period and conditions, and considers the impact of the number of children in the family on the content and form of upbringing. The data involved in the study of ethnodemographic features in Uzbeks date back to the second half of the XX century and the beginning of the XXI century. The data were collected during an ethnographic expedition to different parts of Uzbekistan.
