Abstract

Based on an analysis of a wide range of sources, this article examines the structural changes in the system of periodicals in the Fergana Valley in the post-war years. In the post-war years, significant structural changes were made in the periodical press of the valley, in order to save money, many city and regional newspapers were closed, at the same time, inter-district newspapers began to open by combining two or more newspaper editorial offices, in accordance with the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR from On September 11, 1957, No. 19 "On streamlining the assignment of names of statesmen and public figures to territories, regions, districts, as well as cities and other settlements, enterprises, collective farms, institutions and organizations", a number of newspapers and magazines of the Fergana Valley were renamed.
