RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE - AN IMPORTANT FACTOR OF PEACE AND REST

Abstract

This article emphasizes the fact that Uzbekistan is a multinational multi-ethnic country, and the policy of interethnic harmony and religious tolerance plays an important role in the successful socio-economic development of the republic, ensuring socio-political stability. It is also shown that the harmony between ethnic units and religious denominations in the country is one of the important factors for lasting peace. Therefore, religious tolerance is one of the main ideas of our national ideology.\n\nThe fact that many nations and peoples of different religions and ethnic groups have lived in Uzbekistan since ancient times testifies to the age-old tolerance of our people.
