ISSUES OF UNILATERAL INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE SOUTHERN REGIONS OF UZBEKISTAN: PROBLEMS AND CONTRADICTIONS (based on materials from the 70s-80s of the twentieth century)
Abstract
The article discusses the activities of the light and food industries in the southern regions of Uzbekistan during the Soviet era, the policy of the Soviet ideology in this regard. only the focus was on the construction of primary processing plants for raw materials. As a result, the economy of the national republics developed unilaterally and fell into a deep economic crisis. As a result, a flawed, one-sided raw material structure of the national economy was formed. The republic is obliged to import not only certain types of raw materials, fuel, equipment and technology, but also vital food products and consumer goods. In the 70s and 80s of the twentieth century, the industry was one-sided, and the problem of the industry was the origin of the contradictions.
