Abstract
Before the establishment of Soviet power, the Surkhan oasis was part of the Bukhara Emirate. Russian troops were stationed only in the Termez-Pattakesar region south of the Sherabad bekate. Therefore, the events of February and October 1917 were reflected in Termez. After the overthrow of the Bukhara Emirate, in 1920, the Bolsheviks sought to establish Soviet power in the Surkhan oasis. In response to their violence, a national liberation movement begins. This article provides information about the establishment of Soviet power in the Surkhan oasis in 1917-1921.
