Abstract

The Kungrads are a large Uzbek tribe that played an important role in the history of Uzbekistan. At one time, different opinions were expressed about the origin and formation of this genus. However, kungrads have been studied superficially by researchers. This often leads to onesided and conflicting assumptions. This article presents information about ethnogenesis, location and economy of the Kungrat tribe based on historical sources created in different periods.
