Abstract
This article presents the results of a study in patients with trigeminal neuralgia who received conservative treatment (group 1, 25 patients) and surgical treatment (group 2, 25 patients) using the VAS scale, the McGill pain questionnaire, and also a questionnaire to assess pain syndrome and quality of life. The severity and nature of pain in the compared groups was revealed. When evaluating the sensory, emotional, evaluative components of the McGill questionnaire, it was revealed that the pain syndrome in the second group was more pronounced than in the first.
