PRINCIPLES OF COMPILING A MULTILINGUAL DICTIONARY OF DIPLOMATIC TERMS

Abstract

The paper examines the problems of the principle of compiling a multilingual dictionary of diplomatic terms. The level of development of this or that branch of science is determined by the state of its foundations - theory, conceptual apparatus and methods. As far as sociolinguistics is concerned, this means that when supplementing it with concrete sociolinguistic research, attention must also be paid to creating a theory of sociolinguistics, developing its methods, and systematizing its conceptual apparatus. Without the development of fundamental problems, sociolinguistic research will remain fragmented for a long time, unsuitable for broad generalizations and theoretical conclusions.
