Abstract

AbstractFrom ancient times, the peoples of Central Asia paid special attention to shrines. The Greek historian Herodotus (fifth century BC), in his History, states that for the nomadic Scythians, the tombs of their ancestors were considered sacred by the enemy. In the VIII century, in the "BilgaHakan inscription", which is one of the monuments of Orkhon-Enasay, the Turkic peoples began their conquest of the holy places of their enemies during the military campaigns.
