AbstractThe article presents a scientific analysis of the problem of symbolism in Iris Murdoch's novel «The Bell». Iris Murdoch's «The Bell» does not cover the story from the beginning to the end of the novel from the point of view of language or the point of view of just one person. Perhaps this brings the three characters to the forefront of the series in the context of the circumstances.
