Post-traumatic right-sided strangulated diaphragmatic hernia with abnormalities of abdominal organs

Abstract
The rarest clinical case of post-traumatic right-sided diaphragmatic hernia complicated by infringement ofthe right lobe of the liver, large and small intestine with necrosis of the large omentum in a patient withsplanchnoptosis is described. A timely diagnosis and surgical intervention - laparotomy, reduction of thestrangulated abnormally located liver, small and half of the colon with resection of the large omentum,thoracocentesis on the right, gastro and colonopexy led to the patient’s recovery. This case may be adescription of interest for abdominal and thoracic surgeons as well.
