Abstract

Abstract: This research gives information about pedagogy and methods of teaching foreign languages in medical universities. Today, English is a kind of lingua franca in medical international communication, is an integral part of a successful professional career in the field of medicine. The study of a foreign language in medical colleges is considered as an obligatory component of the professional training of a specialist. In addition, various international projects in the field of medicine are becoming more widespread, participation in which is also an important part of professional development for medical workers. In addition to, the author substantiates the need to revise certain aspects in teaching English to medical students and offers his own concept of an English language course for medical purposes.
