ABI

Abstract

The current study has attempted to examine the use of politeness strategies proposed by Brown and Levinson (1978) among non-local businessmen in their written international business communication compared to their local counterparts. Particular attention is paid to issues such as orders, requests, suggestions, complaints, apologies and suggestions, knowing how strategic politeness is especially necessary at the beginning of the relationship between general meetings.
