Abstract
Annotation: the article considers the role of mass online courses in the system of modern education. The main stages of designing and creating massive online courses are proposed. The Internet has significantly filled the life of a modern person and is already an integral part of both the professional activity of a person and the organization of leisure. However, the Internet has penetrated into the educational process mainly only as a means of self-study for students to search for the information they need. In view of the universal accessibility and prevalence of the Internet, it is necessary to actively and massively use all the opportunities that it can provide in the educational process.
