Abstract. In postnatal ontogenesis in the respiratory section of the lungs of rabbits, neuroepithelial bodies containing acetylcholinesterase were found in the area of the bronchioalveolar junction. The role of acetylcholinesterase in the growth of pulmonary acini is assumed.
