Abstract
Abstract. The development of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) is one of the most common side effects in the treatment of patients with oncopathology as a result of the toxic effect of anticancer treatment on the function and structure of the heart or as a result of the accelerated development of CVD in the presence of already existing cardiovascular risk factors. This article details the various steps involved in cardiovascular monitoring and decision-making before, during, and after cancer treatment, based on the 2016 ESC Guidelines for the Treatment of Cancer and Cardiovascular Toxicity.
