Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to assess the prevalence and quality of treatment of patients with heart failure in a family outpatient clinic in Samarkand over the past 6 years.\n\nMaterials and methods To assess the prevalence and quality of treatment of patients with heart failure in a family polyclinic setting, the quantitative composition of patients with heart failure in City Family Polyclinic No. 12 for the period from 2014 to 2020 was determined by retrospective study method. In our work we used the following data collection methods: routine analysis of outpatient records of patients with heart failure; analysis of regulatory documents in City Family Polyclinic No. 12; direct observation of doctors' consultations; medical audit.\n\nResults The analysis of outpatient records revealed unsatisfactory quality of medical care. In addition, medical examinations of patients with cardiac insufficiency who were registered at the Samarkand City Polyclinic were organized. In its research activities, standards were developed to assess the quality of medical care provided to patients with heart failure.\n\nConclusions The quality of medical care for patients with heart failure was then assessed on the basis of the development of standards and indicators for assessing the quality of medical care. When deficiencies in the quality of treatment and management of patients with heart failure were detected, changes were made using the Plan, Implement, Study, Act cycle.
