Abstract

AbstractThis article analyzes two short stories of Anne Enright the House of the Architect's Love Story and Shaft which used metaphors to reveal some of motherly feelings related to pregnant women. At the same time, the stories discussed on pregnancy and motherhoodillustrate the situation of women who not only struggle to make connections, but also experience changes in their bodies as well as in their minds.
