CHINA AND AMERICA'S RELATIONS IN THE TRANSITION TO A LOW-CARBON ECONOMY

Abstract

Chinese and American economies are characterized by significant complementarily and interdependence. At the same time, competition between the two countries and economies is intensifying. In recent years, China-US bilateral trade has continued to grow at a high pace. In 2015, the turnover of two countries amounted to 598 billion dollars, with China's exports of 482 billion and imports of 116 billion. China's foreign trade surplus in trade amounted to 366 billion dollars. By compared to the previous year 2014, the increase in trade turnover amounted to 16%. In the face of a global slowdown economic growth of recent years, a stable increase in the volume of mutual trade between the United States and the People's Republic of China acted as certain driver of the global economy. This consistently positive trend growth is due to a number of factors.
