Abstract: The article is devoted to the study of the theoretical foundations of unemployment, its types, causes and its impact on the economy of Uzbekistan. The article also includes discussions and suggests measures for the reduction of unemployment in the country. In addition, the latest statistics on the unemployment rate in the country were used.
