Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to show the local impacts of investments in the development of the Samarkand region in Uzbekistan. The survey method was used to investigate the attitudes of community members towards the effects of tourism investments in different areas in Samarkand. According to the surveys, investments in the tourism sector created new job positions and dramatically improved road infrastructure, service activities as well as the reputation of the city.
