Abstract

The article discusses information about quaternary sediments and buried alluvium of the Syr Darya, which are necessary for rational planning of research directions, correct and effective conduct of engineering-geological and engineering-reclamation research on the territory of the Hungry Steppe, their conditions of occurrence and distribution are described in detail. Everywhere in its section, there is a multiple repetition of channel and floodplain-lake sediments formed in the conditions of wandering of the Syr Darya with intensive immersion of the Holodnostep trough. The developed and newly developed territories are divided by the authors genetically into proluvial and alluvial.
