Abstract
Abstract. On the basis of exact solutions of the equations of linear theory of viscoelasticity in transformations, a theory of nonstationary transverse oscillations of an infinite in plan plate in a plane formulation was developed. Equations of oscillation are written with respect to two auxiliary functions, which are the basic parts of the longitudinal and transverse displacements of some "intermediate" surface of the middle layer of the plate. Formulas are derived that allow, using the fields of introduced auxiliary functions, to unambiguously calculate with a given accuracy the displacement and stress fields in an arbitrary section of the plate.
