Abstract
Abstract: In the article, teachers development of professional competence, social of pedagogic profession essence, abilities specific to the pedagogic profession are reflected. Pedagogical the essence of the concept of competence, pedagogical competence specific aspects of formation are highlighted. Socio-cultural competence in the article the theoretical and methodological bases of formation are explained. Also social and cultural competence in students of higher educational institution the role and necessary aspects of the culture of communication in the formation analyzed.
