Abstract

It was established that in patients with hypertension, two types were identified - more frequent volume-dependent and less frequent renin-dependent type of hypertension with moderate plasma renin activity. Volume-dependent hypertension is associated with older age and high levels of clinical and daily blood pressure, renin-dependent hypertension is associated with higher body mass index and metabolic disorders.
