Prospects for the development of electronic money in Uzbekistan
Abstract
This monograph is devoted to studying the principle of operation of electronic money and the problem of developing electronic money systems in Uzbekistan. The monograph topic is relevant in theoretical terms since there is no holistic, scientifically based concept of the development of electronic money. Most electronic money systems form at the initiative of private financial institutions with little or no interest and support from the state. As a result, a specific imbalance arises: economic innovations are ahead of the development of legislation regulating the relationship of entities in the field of settlements and payments. The introduction substantiates the relevance and demand for the conducted research, defines the goal and objectives, object, subject, and methods of analysis, their compliance with priority areas for the development of science and technology of the republic, and also outlines the scientific novelty and practical results of the work determine the reliability and implementation of the research results, provides data about the approbation of the research results, published works, the structure, and volume of the work.\n\nThe paper explores the economic essence and the need to popularize the electronic payment system, describes the organizational and legal aspects of the functioning of electronic money on the territory of Uzbekistan and formulates relevant conclusions and conclusions. Also, advanced foreign experience in using electronic wallets and the principle of operation of foreign providers in Uzbekistan were studied, existing problems in the current system of electronic payments were identified, and possibilities for solving these problems were considered.
