Abstract

Speech activity always occurs in connection with the need to express in linguistic form a personal attitude to reality in connection with it. Such speech activity is carried out with the help of deictic means. In this article, pronouns, forms of address as grammatical means pointing to social deixis are involved in the analysis. Personal pronouns, forms of address, participating in the speech process, indicate the social status of the speaker and listener. These units, which make up social deixis, are analyzed by the example of a literary text.
