Abstract
Abstract. This article provides data on various types of brushes to improve the hygienic state of the oral cavity in different age periods. Data on the effectiveness of various types of brushes on the state of the oral cavity are also given. The main cause of dental diseases in children is poor oral hygiene. With irregular and poor-quality care, microorganisms form a biofilm by colonizing the surfaces of the teeth. In the oral cavity, bacterial populations are strongly associated with each other and with the surface of surrounding tissues, and pathogenic microorganisms persisting in them are the main risk factors for the development of caries and periodontal disease.
