Abstract

This paper aims to identify the nominative units of Uzbek legal discourse. In fact, a perfect linguistic description of the lexical units of a language requires a reference to the theory of nomination in linguistics since all words, phrases and sentences in our language are basic nominative units, which are connected by a nominative function. In the study the identification of nominative units is carried out by the theory of Frame Analysis. This is because using frames, that is, cognitive structures, objects are categorized and named. This allows the received information to be stored in long-term memory. Accordingly, in the study of the nominative units of Uzbek legal discourse, CRIME frame was created and the main concepts, subconcepts and their supporting slots were identified.
